Collection: Hazardous waste

Hazardous substances can be found in very small amounts in various products, but together they can do great damage if they end up wrong. It is therefore important that the hazardous waste is sorted out and handed in in the right way and in the right place.

The municipalities are responsible for the collection, transport and treatment of household hazardous waste. Liability is regulated in the Environmental Code, the Waste Ordinance and the municipal waste management ordinance.

Households are obliged to sort their hazardous waste from other household waste.
