NEW COMMON SIGN SYSTEM FOR WASTE SORTING IN THE NORDIC
On July 1, 2020, Avfall Sweden launched a new, uniform sign system for all waste management. The system was developed in collaboration with Waste Sweden's sister organizations in the Nordic countries and is based on uniform and clear symbols that make it easy to sort correctly.
All signs are available for all municipalities, companies and condominium associations in our sign shop. We offer all motifs in several formats, printed both on decals and weather-resistant plastic signs.

COMPANY, MUNICIPALITY & BRF
Even though the new common sign system for the Nordics has specific symbols for each sorting fraction, there is every opportunity to implement the symbols in your own brand profile. For example, we can add your logo or otherwise design the signs according to your wishes. It is a good way to reinforce your environmental commitment and show that you care for the environment and value correct sorting.
We like to see long-term collaborations with our customers and are never more than a phone call away. If you are interested in placing a larger order, contact us for a quote and we will make sure that our proposal fits your needs.

Environmental work
The environment is important to us and we are constantly working on our environmental work. We meet the requirements for the following certifications;
ISO 14001 is an international standard that forms the basis for determining environmental management. Used in all types of organizations and industries.
The Swan makes high environmental and climate demands. The certificate guarantees that we use products with the least possible environmental impact, that a significant part of the paper that is consumed is approved by the Swan and that we work to minimize hazardous waste.
FSC is a traceability routine that works for environmentally friendly, socially responsible and economically viable use of the world's forests.
Taberg Media Group is also connected to FTI, which is the business community's collection system for recycling packaging.

How to manage our waste
The waste ladder is an EU directive that has been adopted in the Swedish Environmental Code and governs how waste must be handled.
Consumption increases, which means that more and more waste is produced. Therefore, it is not enough to recycle, we have to climb the waste ladder, which means reusing and minimizing the amount of waste.
This is what the steps in the waste ladder look like:
1. Minimize: Produce goods in a resource-efficient manner and by consuming as few goods as possible.
2. Reuse: Reuse your stuff by giving it to second hand, repurposing or selling it.
3. Recycle: If reuse is not possible, the material in the waste must be recycled.
4. Extract the energy: If the material cannot be recycled, it must be burned in a power plant to convert the energy.
5. Dispose: Dispose of the waste in a landfill. It is the worst option and the last solution.
